I'm really glad I found this site. I used to be on the old Bustalk as "1C/Ballston", but I've since made my way from the DC area to Las Vegas. I didn't even know this forum existed until I saw a reference to it on Subchat.
I am envious that all of you have been on here for so long. I need to catch up on a lot of reading!!!
Happy New Year everyone! |

CAT218,
You're right - you do have a lot of catching up to do!
As a self appointed unofficial welcoming committee, I think I speak for all by saying welcome to BusTalkIII - always good to see more new members boarding the bus!
I think that you'll find our site, made up of many BusTalk.net, orphans, to be the most professional of its ilk, and we look forward to your valuable contributions.
There!, I said it.

Welcome back, CAT218. Better late than never! I was lucky to get the word fairly early on but not after without wandering in the darkness for awhile when BTN went away. |

Thanks, guys! I'm glad to have my resource back for education and fun. It's nice to see so many people that I recognize. Since I'm off the east coast now I'm enjoying reading what's happening there and still trying to get used to the west coast goings on. |

Hello, I'm metrolinecoach111 or you can call me Brian - I am a college student currently in Philadelphia, and am pursuing my life-long passion of a career in the bus industry. My specialty and expertise is in transportation in New Jersey, particularly when it comes to Atlantic City line-runs, I've been following that particular sect for over 14 years now. My ambition is to open up a firm based in NJ with a network of routes serving the tri-state and Philadelphia. I'm looking forward to learning more about my passion from everyone here and thanks in advance for your help in my education so to say. |

Brian,
Welcome to BusTalk, and we certainly look forward to helping you attain your goal albeit a difficult one!
In our 'Bus Nostalgia' series under 'Manufacturers' we have done any number of showcases on New Jersey bus operations from the days of yore that you may be able to use in piecing together the fabric of surface transportation in that state.
There are also a number of experts on the subject who are regular contributors at Yahoo's GMOldLookBus if you need specific information - they are the 'bible' when it comes to Jersey!
In the meantime, puruse the wealth of material available right here and don't be afraid to ask questions.
