This is a link to a lengthy post on a German tram discussion forum. Scrolling through the post, however, one finds numerous photos of buses used in Aachen, Germany, after World War II, even what resembles a Scenicruiser (deck and a half) in local service. There are double-deckers, and there are various forms of trackless trolleys. The photos (as you scroll down) are in approximate chronological order. The common thread is that the pictures are taken in Aachen, near the border of the Netherlands. In fact, two photos show Aachen trams running parallel to the border, a low fence.

Sorry, Steve, but the link was posted three years ago. Links sometimes fail over time, just as cable channels move around. In this case, the photos were linked to a German transit forum which (like many forums) does not store the photos on their forum (too much server space needed) but uses an image link to another server. For some reason or other, an author removes the photo from that server and the links go stale. The same happens with many links to newspapers, sometimes going stale in a week or two.
Welcome aboard!
