IMO, I think the white painted RTS idea came from MTA Bus. Take a look at 7205 from LGA Depot-which is now retired. For the exception of the gray color, it pretty much looks similar:

I think the new look is hideous! |

It's, um ... different. 
I do like the all-white look on the Orion V's, though - it'll be interesting to see what an Orion VII looks like when they get around to repainting one of those. |

Wow I agree word for word. I prefer that look on the Orion. |

| Nice photos, I think an all white rear would look good on anything but an RTS. |
