The Wall Street Journal on 9.13.2007 carried a story on page B1: "The Ride Choice, a Texas City ponders buses." With a population of 365,000, Arlington is the largest city in the United States without public transit. A proposed bus budget is $75,000. Three times the voters have turned down money for bus service.
