Saw this old Gillig at Main St. / NY avenue last Saturday at 14:45 in revenue service. While there was peeling paint on the rear driver's side grill, the bus looked okay. This means that all the 5xx are not yet gone.
I know that the Town of Huntington put #502 and #505 on E-bay recently and got no takers.
Heard from a driver that several of the 5xx were towed off the property, probably to a scrap metal dealer. |

Good.
Will it run today?
If so, will it be on the H9? |

I have no clue. Hadn't seen it in a while in my travels. I think its a spare bus, when the 8xx's are off for maintenance. There are still the 6xx's running around.
Best choice is to call HART directly and get to speak to a dispatcher. |
