This is idle speculation at this point, but what type of local buses do you suppose that CPD eventually will receive?
Will they also receifve Orion VII HEV's, as did most of the MTAB depots? If so, what will be the fate of the CNG installation at CPD (and for that matter, similar CNG equipment at SC)? |

That's a very good question.
My quess wpuld be considering the investment in the CP CNG facility, that the next replacement for the current CNG would be another. |

Thats a pretty good question. To be honest I don't think CP will be getting any new equipment anytime soon since the Orion V CNG's are from 1998/9. If anything there may be a chance that CP can get HEV's especially since the New Gen design came out and MTA seems very interested (running 1 demo already from BP with another on the way) The MTA does still have an option order of about 300 buses I think (not sure though). But I'm not sure if the MTA is willing to make CP an HEV depot as well, they might shift old CNG's to them, anything is possible. |
