Cabot might be tight on buses with the ongoing NABI overhaul program taking 8 to 10 buses away at a time. When I visited Boston at the end of December, I spotted several Neoplan diesels from Albany Street running on Cabot routes like the 11 and 15.

Arborway has had Cabot NABI's there ever since the rehab program started. According to Jonathan Belcher's Jan. 20th inventory (http://mysite.verizon.net/rtspcc/MBTAroster.html), these borrowed buses currently include 2119 to 2124, 2126, 2128, 2161, 2165, 2166, 2168, 2208, 2222, 2225, 2262, 2264, 2265, 2268, 2269 and 2279.

Hey, all. Long time lurker, first time poster. According to NETransit, 0488 is in service and it's been repowered from a Caterpillar C9 to a Cummins ISL. Does anyone have any information on this bus?

2157 is currently out of service due to an accident two days ago.

Also, the LL Bean wrapped buses are confirmed to be on the following buses since I've seen them...

0468, 0478, 0507, 2202 and 2258 and five more (numbers unknown yet) with the wrap.

I managed to catch a ride on 0468 on a #57 on April Fool's Day itself, with its farebox totally covered up.

Oh that said, is 0517 going to be the first Neoplan to be scrapped?

Also, note to Mr. Belcher since I don't know anywhere else to contact him... the #60 is a Cabot route on the evening and weekends (not listed in Cabot where it should be).

0487 and 2252 have been seen with the LL Bean wrap - leaves one more unknown bus with the LL Bean wrap.

The last one with the LL Bean wrap is #2145 - I had seen it initially around May 1 or thereabouts, but confirmed its number a couple of days later.

A bunch of 2007 D40LFs at Cabot garage have been transferred back to Charlestown due to Arborway returning Cabot's NABIs. Some of the RTS that were at Charlestown were bumped over to Lynn. Speaking of RTS, does anyone know if the MBTA has put out an RFP for new buses to replace the RTS?

There is no RFP yet for new buses. The MBTA acknowledged the need to replace the remaining RTS buses in its fiscal year 2012-16 capital planning document but does not yet show any money allocated for new bus purchases.

Add another Quincy bus running on a Cabot route...

Saw 0791 running on 28 going north on Blue Hill Ave during yesterday's afternoon rush hour - the bus previous to that one was another Quincy on a 28, the already known 0756.

How often does Quincy lend a bus or two to a Cabot route on any given day? It was just unusual to see two Quincy buses run on the same Cabot route back to back.

Weird, weird day on the 39 yesterday in afternoon rush hour.

At least five non-artics running on the route - three Cabot CNG buses (2156, 2159? and 2271) and two Quincy New Flyers (0756, 0787).

I did notice that a bus broke down near the Prudential Shaw's - possibly one of the artics - didn't get the number though.
