In a continuation of a process begun on the two avenues in question three years and one month earlier, Amsterdam Avenue from 71st to 110th Street (Cathedral Parkway) is converted to one-way northbound and Columbus Avenue from 65th to 110th Street becomes one-way southbound. The following NYC Omnibus routes are affected:
- 7 (Broadway, Columbus and Lenox Avenues): Northbound buses run north on Broadway from 65th to 71st Street, then on Amsterdam Avenue to 106th Street, and east on 106th Street to Manhattan Avenue and on to the rest of its route.
- 11 (Ninth and Amsterdam Avenues): Southbound buses run east on 110th Street from Amsterdam to Columbus Avenue, then east on Columbus Avenue to 65th Street and on to the regular route.
- 17 (79th Street Crosstown): Eastbound buses run north on Amsterdam Avenue from 79th to 82nd Street, then east on 82nd Street and south on Columbus Avenue to 81st Street and then on to the rest of its regular route. |
