Centre Street north of Reade Street, Lafayette Street north of Spring Street, Fourth Avenue between 8th and 14th Streets, and Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) south of 34th Street-Herald Square are converted to one-way northbound; and Broadway from 34th Street to 23rd Street, and from 14th Street-Union Square to Canal Street, becomes one-way southbound. This leads to massive changes involving the following MaBSTOA bus routes:
- 1 (Park and Madison Avenues via 135th Street): South of 14th Street-Union Square, southbound buses now operate south on Broadway all through to its southern terminus at Park Row/City Hall.
- 2 (Park and Madison Avenues via 116th Street): Below 14th Street, southbound buses run south on Broadway to 4th Street, then east on 4th Street and north on the Bowery and Fourth Avenue to its southern terminus on 8th Street.
- 2 (Fifth and Seventh Avenues) and 3 (Fifth and Convent or St. Nicholas Avenues): Southern terminus moved further east to 8th Street and Fourth Avenue; from there, buses starting on their northbound run, travel one block north on Fourth, and then west on 9th Street/Wanamaker Place towards Fifth Avenue.
- 5 (Fifth Avenue/Riverside Drive): Southern terminus extended to Houston Street and West Broadway; south of Fifth Avenue and 8th Street, southbound buses now travel east on 8th Street, south on Broadway and west on Houston Street to its new south end on West Broadway (La Guardia Place); then, commencing northbound, further west on Houston to Sixth Avenue, then north on Sixth and east on 8th Street to Fifth.
- 5 (Sixth Avenue): Entire route is discontinued and absorbed into . . .
- 6 (Broadway and Seventh Avenue) . . . which now runs north along Trinity Place, Church Street and Sixth Avenue all the way from the Battery to its north end on 59th Street/Central Park South. Route description changed first to "Broadway-Ave. of Americas," then finally to "Bway-7th-Ave of Americas."
- 7 (Broadway, Columbus and Lenox Avenues): Northbound buses starting out from its southern terminus of 23rd Street and Broadway, now travel west on 23rd Street and then north on Sixth Avenue up to the West 50's.
