Looking at the MTA Bus Operations Depot Roster, some observations can be made:
-The 444 remaining Nova Bus RTS-06's serve all divisions except Staten Island. They are most numerous in the Brooklyn Division (237), which is appropriate since GM RTS-04's made their NYC debut on the B17 out of Flatbush Depot on Aug. 5th, 1981, 35 years and 2 days ago.
-RTS-06's still operate out of the following 12 depots: Eastchester, West Farms, East New York, Flatbush, Grand Avenue, Ulmer Park, Quill, Stengel, Jamaica, JFK, LaGuardia, Queens Village.
-Artics currently operate in 4 of the 5 divisions; only the Staten Island Division is artic-free.
-There is 1 "artic only" depot: Tuskegee Airmen Depot (Manhattan Division).
-There are 2 MTAB depots in Queens running artics: Baisley Park (on the Q111, Q113 & Q114) and JFK (on the Q10).
4 There is only 1 depot in the Brooklyn Division with artics: Flatbush Depot has 36 Nova LFS artics assigned to the B44+SBS.
-Cruisers operate in 4 of 5 divisions; only Manhattan Division is cruiser-free.
-Prevost cruisers operate only in2 divisions: Brooklyn and Staten Island.
-Cruisers operate out of all MTAB depots except for JFK Depot.
-There are 2 "cruiser only" depots: Yonkers Depot (Bronx Division) and Meredith Avenue Depot (Staten Island Division).
-The Staten Island Division (like the island nation of Australia) boasts some unique creatures: they are home to 90 2010 Orion VII EPA10 3G buses from the 2010 Bus Pilot Program (all based at Castleton Depot) and, unlike all other divisions, they have no artics, RTS's, Orion VII OG HEV's or New Flyer buses.
-Orion VII NG Hybrids are used in all 5 divisions; many years ago, the GM RTS-04's could make the same 5-borough claim.
-Orion VII OG Hybrids are found in 3 divisions only: Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.
-There is 1 "hybrid only" depot: Manhattanville Depot.
-The only 100% CNG depot is Jackie Gleason Depot (Brooklyn Division). The other 3 CNG-capable depots (College Point, Spring Creek and West Farms) also have fleets of diesel buses.
-NF XD40 Xcelsiors operate only in 2 divisions: Brooklyn and Queens.
-Nova Bus LFS 40-footers operate in 4 of 5 divisions: the Manhattan Division has Nova Bus LFS artics but no single unit LFSs.
