Check out this link for good depot logos for NYCT and MTAB:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bus_depots_of_the_New_York_City_Transit_Authority

The clarity of these logos is very good when enlarged to full size (about 7.5" diameter) and printed on a color printer. For some reason, the FRK depot logo is missing.

Forget Far Rockaway - where's Green Line's Jamaica garage (JFK) and those of Triboro, and Queens Transit (the orange buses)?

I was hoping that someone in the MTA in charge of such things would have come up with more original logos for the Queens PBL's.

Jamaica Depot's trademark is nothing more than Jamaica Buses old logo - it's O.K. but, as I said, maybe a little more imagination and nostalgia?

A while ago, just about the time of the takeovers, I suggested, at least for JFK, that some shadow from the past be placed in the background of the new identity (perhaps even the 'old look' courtesy/dependability decal that we used back in the fifties).

Anything that would permanently tie the past to the future!

The logos were suggested by current employees who know little about nostalgia Sad

I recall that Pipe had posted some very good old-time logos on his photo gallery at BTN, including a very sharp scan of an orange-trimmed QSC "Pride of The Fleet" logo (which is proudly displayed inside my garage wall along with many other NYC depot logos).
Long live "the orange bus"!
