Mr. "L":

Allow me, firstly, to wish you a belated HAPPY and HEALTHY birthday!

Secondly, I just came across this 1970's-era photo taken at 42nd and Lexington, and thought you might be interested...... Wink

Best Wishes, my friend! Very Happy

NYO,

Nice shot and while the focus of the image should normally be MABSTOA # 6636, I am more interested in the coach following behind which was a GM PD-4104 operating for Carey Transportation, Inc. of Jamaica, New York.

I am uncertain as to whether this PD 4104 was an original Carey purchase that was repainted to Greyhound specs after their 1968 takeover of the company or a surplus Greyhound coach which would have been rather unlikely because of its advanced age at the time.

Regards,

Mr. 'L'

Looking at what looks like a trapezoidal GM emblem unique to the PD 4104, this may be an original Carey purchase. Just an educated guess.

No front GM emblem, so this may be an ex-Greyhound.
