These would have 1994 TMC RTS's. MTA Bus took over QSC in February 2005 and renumbered them 9700's. These buses were sent to other MTABC garages. Hybrids came in 2007 which made the final push of older equipment. They actually lasted 12 years. | The Orion VIIs stated to arrive towards the end of 2005. |
No way 3500 came in the end of 2005. Tell you what, I will have the builders plate checked for date of manufacture on the lowest 3500 I can get my hands on.
Furthermore, the comment I answered was "MTA Bus retired" which still would have made the newest QSC TMC RTS 11 years old at the time of takeover. And with all the moves that happened, it would be easy to lose track.
Next time read the whole thing before you post "Wrong". Thank you for your cooperation. |

Back in the year 2005, the 1994 TMC RTS's would indeed be 11 years old. I never said otherwise. |

Off the property. When it comes back I will check. There were no demonstration buses as NYCT already had them. So 3500 may be a bit earlier but no way is it 2005.
Actually, I will check in service date of both. Problem solved. |

FWIW, 3500-3524 were manufactured between 6714 and 6715. |

3500 went in service only days before 3501. Brings us back to August 2006 unless somebody put tires on a pile of metal and used it as a bus. |
