I don't quite remember what I was looking for, but I ran into this little tidbit. Apparently, in 2002, there was a softball team in the Glen Oaks Little League that was associated with Queens Surface named the Queens Surface Rockies. I wasn't aware that a bus company had , or could sponsor, a sports team in this manner.

The second link explicitly ties the team to Queens Surface:

Quote:
Days after each Rockies’ player received a memento Queens Surface bus from Queens Surface President Myra Burke, the Rockies defeated Mineola 1 under the lights Friday.

Unfortunately, other than those links and summaries, I couldn't find anything else about the team. I speculate it might have folded after one season. Does anyone know more information about this team, or if any other bus company had a team in their name?
