I found this photo on a railfan site covering the Hoboken Shore R.R.:
http://hbs.railfan.net/hbs20.jpg
Classic picture of a classic bus.
Many of the folks who frequent such a website probably aren't as interested in vehicles without flanged steel wheels, but a lot of us love old machinery, regardless of mode.
Enjoy!

Bob,

Great find - thanks for sharing (that bus must have been one of my racing partners on the straightaway at what is now JFK Airport).

Good memories,

I'm made a copy below to enjoy.

Regards,

Mr. 'L'

A pair of '04s and a GE 44 tonner. Must be a picture of Heaven.
The engine is one of two purchased by Hoboken Shore RR in 1949, numbers 700 and 701.

Thanks for providing that shot....I went and looked at the website it came from and found it fascinating. That was an interesting 'fantrip' in those gon's. I drive by that area almost every day shuttling buses to and from Academy's lot in Hoboken, and never realized the history of that area, a lot of which has not changed all that much. I believe some of those factories have now been converted to residential condo's....
