Hey all,

I don't know if anyone can answer this but when does College Points next pick go in effect? Also, are all MTA Bus depots still doing picks at seperate times or are they doing a system wide pick? Thanks.

If it's the same as LaGuardia Depot, the new pick goes into affect tomorrow, Sunday June 24th.

Actually it was today, July 8 that the summer pick took effect. There was an eight hour rule issue that caused the entire pick to be re-picked.

19A regulations require a period of eight hours off between shifts. Because of work bus operators pick every few months, this includes regular pieces and overtime pieces, several bus operators were in violation.
IE: Regular shift was from 15:00 to 23:30 and had a pick ot piece reporting at 07:00 to 09:30. In a twenty four hour period there is no 8 straight hours off. This violates the eight hour rule. If the regular piece instead finished at 23:00, the bus operator would be in compliance.
Unfortunately, LaGuardia had all those in violation ot pieces yanked out from their schedules. College Point Depot had a "re-pick" to accomadate the bus operators effected.

It should be noted that this practice had been going on for years without any deterimental effects in the former PBLs.
