This 1974 Twentieth Century-Fox release starred Art Carney and his pet cat forced from his home onto a cross-country odyssey. They start out from New York on a Greyhound MC-7. There is a hilarious scene where Art's character "Harry" tells the driver (played by Clint Young) that the cat "Tonto" has to urinate. The driver surprised by the previously unseen cat tells Harry that cats are not allowed, and that he cannot stop, to use the restroom in the rear. Harry takes the cat back and holds it over the toilet and the cat just howls in protest. Harry then tells the driver that if he doesn't stop, the cat will urinate right there. The bus promptly pulls over and out goes Harry, the cat, and Harry's bags onto the side of the road, and the bus roars away.... |
