Hello,

Is there anyone who can provide me a roster going back to lets say the GMC/Flxible New Looks?

Also, a roster of Bergen Av, Broadway Av, and ALL other IBOAs. Thanks in advance.

The TransitMan,

While I can't really help you with Greenville & Lafayette particularly, I would recommend the May/June 1992 issue of Motor Coach Age devoted almost entirely to Newark Independents which also has post war production records for the Mack C-47 and C-49 models in the last pages.

I can start you on a Greenville & Lafayette roster with the attached photo of their # 201 that was an ex New York City Transit Authority 1958 GM TDH 5106 which was numbered between 9000 and 9120 and were the only city 5106's to carry sliding passenger windows.

Hope it helps you.

The TransitMan,

As luck would have it, I just happened to find the attached article from a 1945 issue of Bus Transportation Magazine that I think will be of interest to you.

Enjoy,

The TransitMan,

Apparently, someone at Greenville and Lafayette liked the number 201 or it was that particular owner/driver's fleet assignment because pictured below is an earlier version of a G & L carrying that same three digits.

The bus, from the late thirties with a 1942 Jersey plate, was very very rare in that the body was carried on an Autocar chassis - Autocar was generally not known to provide underpinning for transit buses.

The only thing that I can say about the model would be that the radiator grille comes from among Autocar's first COE's which dated from the mid thirties and usually started with a 'U'.

Of note are the then Jersey required passenger window bars.

The TransitMan,

You might find a little more help by 'reverse engineering' at the following URL;
