Here is a photo I came across of an old look on Main St. in White Plains in 1973. This may have been purchased used since I can find no record on the GM lists. They did purchase a TGH3610, fleet number 22 in 1947.

I found it on the OMOT site. This is one of two Yellow Coach TG3206 buses purchased new and delivered in June, 1945. They were fleet numbers 20-21, serials 0047-0048. Nice picture.

roymanning2000,
The 'Yellow' designation was a mistake on the part of the Ohio Museum.
The TG 3206's were GM's and not Yellows.
The Yellow Coach name was dropped from builder's plates in 1943 and anything built and delivered thereafter carried the 'GM' marque.

Mr. 'L' |

Wa the Port Chester and White Plsins Bus Company part of Westchester Street Transportation Company (Surface Transit System) or Westchester Surface Ways? Or by the way, was Westchester Surface Ways part of STS also? |

upperharlemline4ever,
In scanning the October 1970 issue of Motor Coach Age Magazine devoted to Third Avenue Railways (TARS) Westchester operations including both Surface Transportation System and Westchester Street Transportation Company, no mention is made of any Port Chester and White Plains Bus Company.
However, Westchester Surfaceways, which had no affiliation with the TARS group, did take over four Mount Vernon routes that had been abandoned by Surface Transportation back in the 30's.
Hope this helps you.
