Looks like some potential frame damage judging by the photos.

Damage is quite extensive. East Haven fire chief Doug Jackson praised the bus driver for taking care of his injured passengers at the scene, making sure that they received the help they needed. Here are some more new reports.

Some pictures of the damage to CT Transit bus #337, taken today.

This view shows the left rear corner of the engine compartment. The radiator, which should be in this location, was pushed forward, intruding into the passenger compartment.

Rear of the bus interior.

The radiator can be seen protruding from under the rear seat.

The passenger sitting in this seat was thrown forward by the force of the collision. If they had remained in the seat, their legs would most likely have been crushed between the seats.

It is surprising that injuries from this crash were not more severe. I wish that all those injured have a speedy and full recovery.
