The Connecticut Public Transportation Commission's 2011 Annual Report is now available. The Commission is primarily an advisory board, made up of appointed officials representing different areas of public transportation in Connecticut. Their recommendations carry weight with the DOT, as well as the governor and legislature, and many projects are implemented or stopped as a result of their opinion.
