Yeah defaiantly never seen them before looking at those photos. The size of them reminds me of the old transfers that SCT used until 2003.

Also even though I've never seen nor purchased them, HART also sells bus fare tickets and monthly passes as well, and at a discount if you buy a pack of 10 which you can purchase on the bus or the pass which I think is only available at the offices of HART. The HART transfer is sold only on the bus for that trip and is a thin sheet of paper. It's good for only 1 other Suffolk/HART bus, or with a dollar step-up fare required if transferring to a Nassau N79 bus, but it's only a dime for the transfer, so it's $1.10 more.

Yeah I heard that HART had tickets or passes, though I've never been out that way to see them. The only time I've been out that way was when I was younger. me, my two sisters, my mom, dad, and grandmother went to McCoy's at Walt Whitman the day that the fire started in it. (Luckly we had left by the time it happened)

I don't remember McCoy's, but I do like that HART is cheaper and there's no talk of raising fares, however I'm uncertain as to how well funded HART is anymore compared to SCT.

As far as I knoe HART hasn't faced the you have to raise fares or cut routes that SCT has had to over the years, sure HART has cut routes but I don't know how much was done because of possible budget problems vs any possible lack of ridership.

Next time I'm at the Huntington LIRR, I need to have a camera to take a photo of the sign by the HART stop here because I believe there are remnants of an old route, but I've forgotten what, although I believe it's still readable. I'll call them up one day this week and see what I can dig up about the fares and such.

Probably one of the old commuter lines they ran that went to the LIRR station. I know they ran two, one was Commuter Red and the other Commuter Blue. They ran about four runs to the LIRR Station during the Morning Rush and four runs from the LIRR Station in the evening. (I believe thats how many I read about online some where) The Commuter Red route lasted longer then the Commuter Blue route I believe, though I don't know when they were shut down.

Maybe HART Bus would know more.

The old Red and Blue still run(http://town.huntington.ny.us/permit_pics/42.pdf). My guess would be the one of the buses From HART's H10, H11, H12 lines.

Oops, I thought I read that the Commuter routes were shut down, unless they were at one point and then they restarted them.

I think I read that the H10 went to Northport Harbor like the H4, though I don't remember if the other end of the route was mentioned.

Walt Whitman to Northport Docks, which was what I thought, but I couldn't remember if that was right. I could only remember that it went to the Docks because of the H4
