I came across a true treasure trove of bus photographs from 1969 on Flickr. A gentleman named David Wilson took a trip to record various local and commuter bus systems as the transition from private to public ownership was underway. Just an amazing collection.

Mr. Wilson's Flickr postings include a similar set from a trip in 1970 as well. He has numerous sets with great bus, train and streetcar photos. Another one to check out is the set showing various Omnibus Society of America fan trips. There is also a large set featuring Chicago transit with CTA and suburban bus companies.

Gents -

I must say the David Wilson view (link below) of HARRISBURG RWYS #1118 presents a very much "keeping up with appearances"
character to it! Perhaps A-T-E was actually making net money at the time?
