When I was just a tyke, this was one of the monikers I bestowed upon the sleek and stunning Flx CLIPPERS, VISICOACHES, and AIRPORTERS (the other nickname was "Fat Back"!) These magnificent coaches were certainly not everyday sights in my area when I was a lad, but, I saw them enough to fall completely heads over heels in love with them......to me, they truly epitomized the Classic Era of the Streamlined Highway Coach! Outside of a brief, two-block ride I had aboard one of these buses some 50-odd years ago (driver was on a local charter, looking for a parking place!) I have never journeyed aboard such fabled vehicles. Join me, if you will, for a well-deserved tribute to these sleek, stunning, and truly magnificent highway coaches of another time.......
