So you thought that the only horses left in Manhattan after the war were in the stables at Central Park.
Well, you'd be wrong about that because seen below and making pick-ups and deliveries in Greenwich Village in 1947 is a well taken care of horse drawn wagon of the Hudson Superfine Laundry Company.
What makes this even more unusual is that Hudson Superfine was a Bronx concern meaning that this wagon traveled quite a way to get to its customers downtown.
While it was certainly not high tech it did add a bit more charm to an already very historic part of the city.
