A hearty thank you to the members of the Metropolitan NY Bus Association who planned another successful excursion.

The bus started at the Port Authority 41/8. I and seven others joined up at Pelham Bay Park at the end of the #6 train.

First Stop was the Bridgeport bus and rail terminal.

Second Stop was CT Transit's Bridgeport Depot. It is actually a new facility in Hamden, but retains its old name. We rode an artic around the property and well as being allowed to look at the unwrapping of a bus. Several buses were brought out for photographing. Our host, Curtis, took the artic out and make a hard left before shutting it off. This was the fold on the right side looked like an accordion ready to explode and then the left side was almost invisible. Also brought out a 96xx Classic just prior to retirement.

Third Stop was lunch at a regional mall.

Fourth stop was DATTCO. One Van Hool Double Decker that can be signed for Megabus in order to cover a shortage. DATTCO also provides storage space and services to outsiders. Many school buses and some non-DATTCO buses.

Fifth Stop was my other name sake, HART. This case it was the Hoosatonic Area Rapid Transit. Small facility but they brought out one of the three remaining RTS's, and several other buses. One of the new buses, not yet in service, has a sign that says UNITED WE STAND, with a red white and blue flag next to it in the destination box. Really Cool.

Sixth Stop was dinner at the Coach Tours Yard. Thanks to Ira and his partners for a nice BBQ. They gave us rides in their MC-5 Challenger that is being restored. For a 45 y/o bus it could fly. Can't wait to ride it when finished. A pleasant surprise is when Trevor Logan's friend Thomas showed up with Trevor and posse in Thomas's P8M-4905A, ex Academy #68. The deck and a half looks sharp even though it still needs work.
A timeless classic.

Seventh Stop was Pelham Bay, where I found my car and was home just before 9 PM.
