Found this interesting Connecticut Company time table dated 1939 for Hartford motor coach service.

The bus depicted in the image is an 84 inch wide 23 passenger Yellow Coach Model 716 built sometime between 1934 and 1937 with eleven of the 62 manufactured being sold to Connecticut.

These 179 inch wheelbase jobs were powered by GM Truck 331 cubic inch gasoline engines and stood up quite well into the late forties.
