Saw 'Sea of Love' on the tube tonight - a 1989 Universal release starring Al Pacino, Ellen Barken and John Goodman filled with action and a very cute love story to boot.
In it, Frank Keller (Al Pacino) is a New York City detective investigating the case of a serial killer who finds the victims through the lonely hearts column in newspapers. Keller falls in love with Helen (Ellen Barken), a prime suspect in the crimes.
Location shooting took place in both New York and Toronto and, in one New York street scene after the next, city RTS's and GM New Looks were very abundant - the New Looks were in the all white and blue stripe livery of the 80's and the RTS's must still have been GMC's.
There were a couple of scenes with what appeared to be Triboro Coaches but could have been TTC's in Toronto - the red and white liveries were very much alike.
This film makes a great archive piece and I highly recommend buying the DVD.

There could have been some practically-new 1987 TMCs in the mix. |
