The issues of Motor Coach Age which detail the histories of Triboro Coach and Green Bus Lines do a good job of telling the story of how the Coopers came to control the companies.

Drove past Mitchel Field Depot today. I noticed that all the MTA LI Bus Able-Ride vehicles are now on the Mitchel Field Depot property. Stewart Avenue facility closed?
There is also a sign on Oak Street seeking for part time drivers. I didn't notice if it's for bus operators or Able-Ride drivers.
As far as any new buses, haven't seen any.

Any update on the MTA LI Bus fiasco? Or are we going to go up to the New Years deadline again for news.

It will be a fiasco of major proportions. Right now, County Executive Mangano is doing an "Ali Shuffle" to try and keep the Nassau Interim Finance Authority from taking fiscal control of the county due to an unbalanced budget. If that happens, you can bet no subsidies and the brinkmanship will continue. Stay tuned !!!!!

So who will continue to operate the buses? The MTA?

It will be status quo for at least two months. The MTA has said that it will give Nassau County 60 days notice before it intends to shut down MSBA/Long Island Bus.
