The 1993 map has it drawn that way. So unless someone made mistake.

Maybe the S94 did operate that way an Sunrise Coach complained, especially since at that time the company's claimed ownership of the routes, so the county changed the S94 to the way it is today.

I circled part of what is listed as the S94 on the 1993 System map. I followed what is marked to Wainscott because it was the last point that was clearly marked.

Two things of Note. The S94 isn't shown as a transfer route at the East Hampton Railroad Station, and they don't clearly defined on the map where the S94 is suppose to end. Maybe the reasoning for that has something to do with what Jimbo said?

So I guess we need to start paying attention as to which buses will be moved after these cuts. Pretty curious myself.

My guess would be unless Suffolk wants to get rid of all the Orion V's then there probably wouldn't be any moves, since none is really required that I'm aware of at least. Since all the buses could be used as spares or to replace a Gillig Phantom in Service an send the Phantom into spare service.

My guess would be that the 30ft buses would be used as spares, unless there are routes that would be a better fit for them that currently don't have a 30ft bus.

I went out today to Suffolk to see if any Orion V were left. I did not see any, but it does not mean they were necessarily retired. This was my first time truly fanning Suffolk Transit, and marked my first time riding a Gillig product (#5004 followed directly by #5009).

I saw, of particular note, in relation to this roster:

#1071 on the S45.
#1017 on the 3A.
#1029 on the S45.
#5075 at the Bay Shore South Shore Mall.

5053 is OOS since accident on 4/18/14
5076 is OOS after being involved in an accident 7/20/15
Para Transit bus 2807 is OOS with Extensive front end damage.

I was surprised as well. My guess is that since it was for SCPD, they either didn't want to or maybe weren't allowed to take pictures of the inside.

Also they didn't post the photos to their website article about it, which was strange since they normally include photos on their site.

Hey Mac!

Here are a couple of observations that I noticed yesterday...

Orion 07.502 #1061 was operating on the S58 yesterday morning. I saw it leaving the Riverhead LIRR Station heading to Huntington Square Mall. My thing is according to your roster, either #1061 is a bus move to CBS OR #1061 got a head start on the "Sunday Service" coming out of Ronkonkoma (Suffolk Bus Corp). I should have looked at the bottom of the bus to see if that had changed.

Also, while traveling on NYS 24 (County Road 94) just south of the Riverhead Courthouses, I saw Gillig Phantom #5014 coming from Downtown Riverhead heading towards the courthouses. Now normally if it's coming from that direction (especially on a SATURDAY), that tells me that it came from the Riverhead LIRR Station. Now according to your roster, you have #5014 listed at Ronkonkoma. So either this bus was operating on the S58 OR there was another bus move at this bus was operating on the S62 (CBS). What made me question this was the fact that I saw #5014 on the S66 before the cuts and I know the S66 does not serve the train station.

Anyways, I saw both of these events yesterday. Keep up the great work on the roster!

As of 11/5/16

5053 is OOS since accident on 4/18/14
5076 is OOS after being involved in an accident 7/20/15
Para Transit bus 2807 is OOS with Extensive front end damage.
1010 is OOS due to an accident 9/30/15
5058 OOS due to an accident on the LIE on 9/27/16
Para Transit 1205 is OOS after an accident in Riverhead


*2947-2948 transferred to Fix route for use on the 7A (2948 broke down and was replaced by 2947 for the rest of the week, unknown if 2948 was returned to SCAT service)

*The 7D/E, 10A, and 10D/E were proposed to be cut in 1990. It is assumed they were cut because another route that was listed with them was mentioned as having been cut but restored a few years later. Hey Mac!


Looks like another bus move. Yesterday (11/12) I saw #1073 on the S62. It still had "Suffolk Bus Corp" on the bottom BUT the S62 is out of Coram according to the roster.

I'm also noticing more and more "baby" buses on the S92...preferably #1080-1081 during the daytime. Could this be due to the recent cuts with extra buses lying around?
