Thanks to my friend HartBus and the good people at eBay, I have found another wonderful piece of Green Bus Lines (NY) history;

Pictured and enjoying semi-retirement in the quaint little town of Reading, Pennsylvania (where my rich grand uncle Max had a marble mansion) we see fleet number 809 - a 1949 GM Coach Model TDH 4507 and one of ten (800 to 809) operating for the Reading Bus Company.

# 809 is ex Green Bus Lines # 310 and one of ten (301 to 310) sold to Reading to make way for the influx of GM New Looks in the early sixties.

I don't know whether these buses were brokered or sold directly but I do know that Mr. 'C' had a lot of good friends in the business in the Keystone State.

Also seen below somewhere in the weeds is #809 in its final resting place (that finish it didn't deserve!).

I take this little story very personally because I drove #310 many times.
