According to several posts on another board, this bus is now at the Transit Authority's East New York Shop undergoing a major overhaul before joining the fleet. Delivered new to Bee Line in March of 1959, I think it was preserved by a private collector and must have been donated to the fleet. No word on the livery. |

ECA,
That's interesting; the records show that Bee Line received 611 in April of 1958 - but that's neither here nor there.
As the New Looks began to arrive, at least one or more of Bee Line's 5106's went to Nassau Bus Lines in a strange orange and blue livery as I remember.
It will be interesting to see what colors it does appear in when it's ready for display.
Bee Line's bright red and white combination was really something to look at especially with the bumble bee logos! (as seen below on # 604).
Note the relatively new City 5301's also in the frame.
Image borrowed for educational purposes only.
BTW; there was a fellow by the name of Jack Seidler in Hyde Park, New York who was an avid collector of Bee Line equipment although the registry does not indicate that he had any of the 5106's.
Regards,
WCA
