We took a couple of out of town guests to the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits which is a premier showcase for both fossils and special buses (see six top images).

On the way home ran into a couple of brand new LACMTA NABI 45C's in the 8100 series working the number 2 line between downtown and Pacific Palisades (lower panels).

I have mixed emotions here because, while it's nice to see new equipment on the route, these NABI's are replacing our beloved (I hate that word!) RTS's.

I don't see any depot markings on either 8139 or 8155 so I can't tell what facility maintains them.

Nice photography, Mr. Linsky. Yes, with the RTS's go the last vestiges of the buses that were really beloved to us!

Great pictures as usual. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am sure that if the girl in the UCLA bus wrap, had wrapped herself around me at Pace College, my grades would have been a lot better

As far as the NABI's I like the idea of the convex sides. It makes the bus look nice, especially the red and silver ones (particularly the 60 footers). What we have in NYC is the straight sided NABI's which to me is dull and continuing a trend started with the Grumman Flx 870D's.
