I have some friends that are drivers that vacation in Southern California every year to drive Mississuaga Transit GM articulated 5034. Its a really neat bus that was driven to California by me and has been used in movies, commercials and music videos since it arrived. I dont know how to post pictures here but if you go to my business website at www.rts-regionaltransitservice.com and go to photo gallery there is hundreds of pictures of this bus in service here in Los Angeles. The buses are also listed in numerical order so go whatever page 5034 is on and you will see even more pictures. There is also some in the "Guest Appearences" section

Update: The Orion VII's must all be delivered by August 31, 2010 and the pilot hybrid coach is expected in late March for testing and feedback. Delivery is expected to start in June.

The plan is to retire the 42 1997 Orion VI buses when the new Orions are delivered.

Looks like Orion is playing it safe with MT.

Mississauga will actually be getting 2 pilot coaches for their order, 1 hybrid and 1 diesel, in April 2010. Orion is trying really hard on this order to impress Mississauga again, and they hope to get some of their Ontario market share back after this...

What is that ENGINEERING TEST bus actually testing?
It pulled into a stop on the Lakeshore 23 route on Christmas Eve!
I don't understand what they could be testing on Christmas Eve about 16:00.

I think it shows how serious Orion is about meeting MT's deadline that they had buses out testing on a day when most companies shut down early.

They are testing the 2010 design of the Orion VII - Which includes SCR systems to meet EPA regulations, rooftop air conditioning unit, rear door the same height as the front one, and for the hybrids, a conventional T-Drive setup and electrification of some accessories (to run off the battery).

I understand that the Hybrids are restricted to service on Route 19 between Square One and Port Credit GO station.
Here is one of the Hybrids on the second morning of service, October 5 2010 at the Port Credit GO station.
