Isn't the two piece plug type door available as an option on these coaches? It seems that the plug door would make curbside loading of the bus easier than the sedan door does. |

Your comment is a very good one, Dieseljim.
Given that certain carriers frequently use J-units in express commuter services (Coach USA and Academy Express are 2 prime examples in my area) the installation of a bi-fold door definitely would make a lot of sense.
I haven't yet seen an E or a J equipped in this manner, nor have I seen references to an optional bi-fold door mentioned in any of the E/J series operator's manuals I have in my collection. |
