Pictured below is fleet # 528 - a 1935 Mack Model 6CX3S and one of 35 (originally numbered G501 to G535) delivered to Green Bus Lines of Long Island City, New York in August of that year.
The short 30 passenger 'CX' was ideal for routes with narrow streets and tight turns as is shown below by # 528 wending its way through Richmond Hill, Queens on the Q37 line.
Only 50 of this model were built by Mack with the balance being shared by smaller companies including Avenue B and East Broadway in Manhattan.
