Check out this link to see Greyhound's new paint scheme that will be unveiled soon. The new scheme is supposedly based on the carrier's 1950's-era blue and silver colors and looks very sharp.

It's a big improvement over that pathetic mostly white scheme used on some MC12s and DL3s, among other buses. Now if they could only rebuild their route system.

Jim -

There's not much "supposedly" to it! The new image is straight, out of the box, Raymond Loewy stuff!

My own perceptions, and FWIW: This has much promise it is a part of a very brilliant marketing plan. Get the old timers (read retiring "Baby Boomers")
where they live. Same old reliable Greyhound still out there! There's some real power to this move, IMHO...

If they can figure how to get the Express back in the holds, it could be better than they hope...

Not only that, but if Greyhound would stop trying to be like the airlines and get back to the basics, they would be far better off than they are now. I bet Carl Wickman, the founder is spinning in his grave at thw way the company has been looted and plundered. Not to mention a route system that has been so badly butchered that it is a pathetic shadow of its former self. Too many bean counters too high on cocaine could be part of the problem right there, too.

Dieseljim -

Ah, lighten up on them? They are still around and running. Maybe not how many of us might like, but they are still on the road...

They have as many riders as (ummmm) a rail transport option enterprise. Greyhound does it, though, paying a great deal of taxes, licensing
and so on. It employs a large work force. And, oh, they are doing it so they can show some net, net results on the bottom line. That is quite
a bit different than a lot of other operations these days...
