BTN members living in the NY Metro area certainly will have heard these dire warnings umpteen times, but for those BTN faithful who live some distance from Gotham, attached below is a link to NY1.
It describes in painful detail the many NYCT bus service cuts that well might happen by June 2009 if the MTA does not obtain some sort of "rescue funding" from an as yet unnamed financial "guardian angel":
