Boston Globe articles often become difficult to find after a day or two, but here is a link to an interesting article on Boston-to-New York service, featuring BoltBus, Greyhound, Fung Wah, Lucky Star, and Amtrak.
Link:

The title of the article is "Rediscovering the bus." It is in the business section, dated 3.11.2008. It says that BoltBus will do curbside drop-offs in New York.

I cannot help but wonder if the Chinese operators are cleaning up their act or are they continuing to dispatch firetraps on wheels down the road as they have in the past. If any bunch of operators ought to be put out of business due to safety reasons, it is the Chinese operators, especially as long as their drivers do not speak adequate English or any English at all. I thought that unless you understood and spoke good English, you could not hold a CDL or any kind. |
