Thanks NE2, especially for your link to the c. 1940 NYCO map:

Last week, I was checking out the homepage of the New York Historical Society, and I came upon references to the FACCO Collection in their archives. There were links, but no photos, and apparently this collection is available to "qualified researchers only". I'll try to find the link and I'll post it here when I do. |

The rosters on Wikipedia are amazing, asuming they are frequently updated (anyone can do that). The site truly gives a wealth of info for the entire MTA system, not just NYCT. |
