Did notice this on thursday at Mitchell Field. LIBUS did get new buses Very Happy but it seems for the access a ride service that they provide Confused Most of the older buses for that service were parked in the garage without the MTA-Long Island Bus label on them. The new buses are #2200 series.
Also noticed Orion V #161 and #300 with new paint schemes. And #462 looked really cute repainted(this was the bus involved in the accident on the N6 recently).
Wish i knew when LIBUS was getting newer buses. If anyone knows, please post.

Are these buses part of the access a ride paratransit?, or one of the CNG's Because LI Bus is supposed to get newer buses for public service (not access a ride).. If it's not for that, then I dont know

The new paint schemes... are they significantly different from the old ones?

the paint job looked exactly the same. The only thing about #462 was the fact it was missing the front MTA label Surprised . Other than that everything looked exactly the same.

The new buses that were recently delivered are exclusively intended for able ride operation. They look pretty nice, I'm confident that things will stay that way.
