Both NBT and Bus Ride regularly run ads for motorcoaches imported from various countries outside of North America.
The TEMSA TS35 is described as a "35-foot stainless steel motorcoach; makes smaller groups profitable; European integral motorcoach quality; industry standard components for proven reliability; supported by a multi-billion dollas international company; don't pay for 57 seats when 42 is enough." Their website is listed as tridentbuses.com
The BCI Falcon 45 is claimed to be, "Built By Operators For Operators"; their website is www.bcibus.com
Bucking this offshore trend is Stallion Bus Industries of New Milford CT; they are building midsize rear-engine tour coaches in the 28-35 foot size, using Freightliner chassis.
Specialty Bus Manufacturers LLC (Ozark MO) is known for building sightseeing buses that are "faux double deckers", but they now are building a 45-foot 80 passenger true double decker on a Freightliner chassis; the intended market is suburban service. Check out their website at www.sbm-us.com |
