"Noo Yawk" baseball "nooze" for Wednesday (early edition)
Well, this evening, the Mets STOMPED OUT the Maribers!
What a difference a day makes!

Ditto for 'doze Boulevardiers from da Bronx' - except they lost in a squeaker on their own "toif" to "Kleave-land," thus you have far-from-gruntled - and clearly deflated - "AYF's" filing out of the "SINO" onto the 4 and D trains. |

W.B.:
Looks like doze arrogant "Boulevardiers From Da Bronx" are perhaps a wee bit more humble, tonight....and, certainly, thepompous "AYF" brigade ain't un a cheering mood, riding home on the subways......

"WAY TO GO, 'KAN-IKKER-BOCKERS; !!"
Eyewitness News at 11 had great coverage of game highlights, and, of course, fan reaction (a LOT less arrogance than usually exhibited by the "AYF" brigade!)
SCARY moments in San Antonio; repoityer Anthony Johnson was in a crowd of Spurs fans, along with one Knicks loyalist; one spursfan was totally out of control, flipping the burd, and shoving Anthony Johnson, who was trying to fend off the agitated agitator:
"DON'T DO THAT! DON'T DO THAT!" (report had to be cut short)
And, a "foither" bummer for the "AFY" contingent, their "boys" were the ONLY one of the "Noo Yawk" teams to lose tonight.......(!!)

Took awhile, evidently, for the "A.G." to get to "San An-Tone," but based on the score trajectory, they made it in the nick of time for sure. |

| Speaking of "quite interesting" . . . the Mets were off today, but "doze Boulevardiers from da Bronx" once again threw "AYF's" red meat by winning in a low-scoring squeaker, thus carrying their smugness with them to the 4 and D trains. |

As the old saying goes, "some things never change".
Nowadays, smug, brash arrogance is as much a part of the Yankees' makup as their uniforms.

"Noo Yawk" baseball "nooze" for Friday (early edition)....
Looks like doze arrogant "Bouleverduers From Da Bronx" get clocked by "da Sox" earlier; and, as I type, the Mets are taking da "Pah-drays" to the cleaners......

Yep. Just like Wednesday night. And "doze Boulevardiers from da Bronx" were the only "Noo Yawk" team to lose that night as well. Maybe, up to this point, the "A.G." "woiking" their magic on the "Ka-nicker-bockers" may be a "coyce" on the "YINO's"?
And to show how much "tin men" they are today and how they don't stack up against the likes of Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle et al., "the Judge" will be out for a few months because of a fractured rib cage. Even factoring all this, he ain't the player he was the prior decade. So much for "Alllriiiiiise . . . " |

W.B.:
Recall, at one time, all a squeaky "tin man"needed to stop squeaking, was a few squirts of oil from the ol'oil can....obviously,those days are looooong gone.
Comparing today's "Boulevardiers" to the "IRON MEN" Yankess of 70/80 years ago?
That would be like comparing a "BINO" to a "Kranden"(!!)

Of course, it was made much sweeter last night that the team the "Boulevardiers" fell to was "Bah-ston." |
