Recall, also, that DC TRANSIT's conduit streetcar lines outlived those of TARS by roughly 14 years.........

In the 1950s, many retired London double-deckers were sold for further use in Yugoslavia (as well as several other countries)

Remember, also, back in the late 1940s, the group of modern TARS cars that were sold to Vienna, where theyran for a number of years...........

Here are several photos of ex-TARS cars operating in Vienna; several of these historic cars survive today, both here and abroad (one of the cars preserved here in the States is at the National Capital Trolley Museum in Maryland)........
