Also........
"Hoid" that yet another "211" set is now operating on the "B".
Sure looks like the veteran "Brighton Belle" R-68s are indeed in their twilight......... |

.....too bad, indeed, that, todat in 2026, the likes of the fearsome, formidable "Triplex"units and the hulking, glowering "Broadway Battleships" ("Standards:) are no longer on hand to "battle da white stuff".......(!!)

......anxious to see if the SIR's hi-tech "Staten Island Rattlers" (R-211s) will be able to handle a wintry situation such as depicted here.....

W.B:
So far, I've heard nothing regarding MTA's "BINOs",but HAVE heard (via 1010 WINS) that some express subway lines will be running local for the duration.
NJT will be shutting down all rail service at 2PM (I have the feeling that the buses wlil be curtailed sometime later today)
MN is running (as of now) running hourly.
"El-Eye-Doubloe-Are" trains are on a "modified Sunday schedule".
Nothing as of yet on the "tubes", or the "Es-Eye-Are".
Gonna get interesting, around these here parts..........

I've heard from "En-Jay-Tee" that both rail AND bus service are being shuttered. |

W.N:
Thanks for the heads-up; I was expecting as much.
At least, no danger of slithering "Slinkies" competing for the "Ice Capades".....

First, "da tubes": PATH has said on their X account, that "We plan to run normal service during storm. Worsening conditions may impact service we can safely provide. Suspensions possible."
The "Em-Tee-Yay" has said "soivice" on subways, buses (a.k.a. BINO's), "El-Eye-Double-Are" and "Em-En" will be affected by the snows, but oddly nothing about how "Es-Eye-Are" "soivice" would be impacted. However it plays out, it is agreed that today's rolling stock isn't nearly as resilient as the "tanks" of old that once plied the rails and the streets. |

W.B.:
Just "hoid" on a special" EYEWITNESS NEWS" report that ALL "NYC" ferry service has been shut down, HOWEVER, the SI Ferry is still running, but on a reduced schedule (of course, it is the ONLY ferry operation to still use traditional, large-scale, double-enders, unlike the "NYC's" diminutive "FINOs" (Ferries In Name Only)
IMHO, PATH should suspend ALL service between Grove Street and Newark, and operate only the segments that are all underground.
Still no "woid" out on the "Es-Eye-Are".............

| PATH had experienced some "soivice" delays due to the snows, but are now on or close to schedule. That's a miracle, given their "rolling iPads" and "See-Bee-Tee-See" . . . |

Actually, NOT at all surprising.........iwhy, t's the still-formidable spirit of the legendary, forward-thinking "empire builder" William Gibbs McAdoo himself, hovering over the system, keeping the "rolling iPads" a' rolling...........

Only "En-Jay-Tee" was the only operation in the area to totally shut down all bus/rail service; in "Noo Yawk", things were moving, if but on modified schedules........
