Back in 1987 just a few years after receiving 72 remanufactured
GMC Blitz New Look Soft Seat Express Buses (originally built between 1968 and 1972), were some of these Coaches at the Yukon Depot
retrofitted with modern Alison V-730 Transmissions?

while i don't know if they did, i do remember the blitz express buses were removed from staten island following a incident on the verrazano bridge. Seemed the bottom right of the bus bounced up and hit someone in the eye. These buses were then removed from express service. They wound up in Ulmer Park. |

That was an axile that bounced off the bottom of the remanufactured
GMC Blitz NYCTA express bus back in December 1992. |
