Just saw this for the first time on Turner Classic Movies cable channel...
It is a Columbia Pictures 1948 release starring Glenn Ford and Evelyn Keyes.
It is a romantic comedy about a single woman looking for a husband so that she may adopt an orphan.
It begins with a terrific scene of Ford driving a Los Angeles Motor Coach GM "old look" bus, overcrowded with passengers. Ford is constantly yelling to please move to the rear of the bus, and naturally is ignored by the passenger's. After being knocked in the head a few times by package toting standees, he says to them to have it their way, and then turns off the route, and parks the bus, and to their shock, calmly gets out of his seat, and walks away...
Very entertaining story.

My wife was watching that movie. I came in just in time for the bus lot scene with early Yellow coaches on the lot complete with the straight windshields and bug eye headlights. |
