Steve,

You might want to think about the best and fastest bus ever on six wheels!

Pictured is an early sixties GM PD 4106 operating for Carey Transportation, Inc. of New York, New York.

Now, that was a bus!

Regards,

Mr. 'L'

Note the deep yellow license plate on the Carey bus. In mid-April, the state of New York reached the FAA nnnn sequence in registration plates and has switched to that yellow, after decades of white. It takes about twenty months for the state to run through all the allowed combinations of three letters plus four numbers. Series beginning with A, B, C, D, and E were white. There are other variations on the new plate.

Now NYS is going to issue new license plates, for an extra fee, to try and close the budget gap. These plates will have an orange background, with blue lettering and a blue top border. Saw three of them already.
