GCRTA in Cleveland, Ohio operates a variety of bus equipment, a quasi-subway system and a Light Rail System before "Light Rail" existed:

Here's the fleet:

2004 NABI 40-LFW #2422 in the soaking rain in the Shaker Heights section of Cleveland:

1999 Novabus #9901 prepares to pick up passengers at Windermere Strokes Rapid Transit Station at the end of the Red Line:

New to the fleet are 17 New Flyer D60LFRs which mainly runs on two lines ; Route 22 & Route 26. Here is #3013 in Downtown Cleveland:

2006 NABI 40-LFW #2643 awaiting its next run on Route 55. This and the 2800 series are equipped with Cummins ISMs:

Nova RTS #9573 with a Suburban style body lays over before a express run on Route 39 at Public Square:

MCI D4000 #1013 on an outbound trip. GCRTA has two series. The 1000s are 40 footers

GCRTAs newest MCIs are 45 footer and unlike the 1000 series, this model has the modified rear end. 1701 is heading west toward North Olmstead
on Route 263, a former North Olmstead Bus Line Route taken over in 2005:

GCRTA entered the BRT game in 2008 with 21 New Flyer DE62LFAs for their Healthline, which is sponsored by the Cleveland Clinic:

2709, a 2006 Optima Opus constructed to look like a trolley is seen in service on the Brown Line, which circles Downtown Cleveland. This and the Blue Line are free at all times:

One of the few transit carriers that runs express services into Cleveland is Laketran, which runs from parts of Lake County to Downtown. Laketran runs MCI D4000s in rush hour. 9843 has made the rounds and is on its way to Lake County:

The other carrier photographed this day was Akron Metro, which runs two rush hour routes into Downtown Cleveland. MCI D4505 #2915 is outbound heading toward East Cleveland:
