Thanks to a good friend at GMOldLookBus, I have come into possession of the attachment which was lost in the shuffle at the time BusTalk.net shut down (you remember that, don't you?).

Anyway, the photo, taken at the lot on the side of Green Bus Lines' (NY) old Arverne/Rockaway garage (now known as Far Rockaway Depot) shows a handful of 1935 30 passenger Mack model 6-CX-3S's and one Mack CT, and I would date the image as being sometime in the late forties.

It was the practice of the company to relegate the oldest equipment to the Rockaway division prior to retirement.

I never worked out of Rockaway but, as a kid, I used to ride along in the Green Hornet from the main garage to deliver parts and payroll checks.

Those were the good old days!
